Ok, so it isn’t a victory over technology. It’s a victory of technology. And my just a boring age-old victory over not paying attention.
But I finally figured out why I couldn’t get my Kindle to work. I received it more than three months ago, and every time I thought I’d get it up and running, something else went wrong. Not with the Kindle, but with some other gadget in the house. Like my computer. Or the hot water thermostat. Or the solar electricity inverter. And the garage door. And the lock on the workshop, to name a few. It seemed like every morning something else had stopped working, and my weary brain was ready for the dust bin.
Yesterday, I finally returned to the Kindle which I have been trying to get operational and have continously failed to accomplish.
Ok, so I was entering in the wrong security key.
Well, you have to admit that the number 8 looks a lot like a capital B. Especially if you’re getting old. And tired. And err – careless.
But the Kindle is wonderful. I love it! It was worth the aggro.
I’m afraid my temptation is going to be to download way more than I can read in the rest of my lifetime.
But I will have fun in the process.
