Some people might not want to call it global warming.  But whatever might be causing it, something is happening:

9 out of the 10 warmest years since 1880 have occurred since the year 2000.  The other warmest year is 1998.

  1. I think I’ll go for climate change. Winters aren’t getting any warmer around here…
(Well, maybe they are, and it’s the lack of insulation in my kitchen that is the issue)

    • I know – we had one of the coldest Decembers on record last winter, and now we’re facing the possibility of the coldest February. Meanwhile, my crocuses and tulips are already pushing through the ground. What’s going on? I read an analysis yesterday saying that global warming could actually produce another ice age . Atlantic currents are already showing signs of shifting south. If they stop funnelling the warm Gulf stream north, we here in Britain might start getting the kind of weather our neighbours sharing our latitude already endure.

In the meantime, it’s your kitchen; it’s our en suite bathroom. It’s the coldest space in the entire house.
