January 11, 2011

Today is an unusual date:  January 11, 2011.  Or to put it another way, 1.11.11.

Unless, like me, you live in England rather than America.  In which case it’s 11.1.11.

The next time we will have a day like this is 11.1.11.

Unless, of course, you live in England.  In which case it will be on 1.11.11.

However you write it, I hope it’s a ! day.

  1. What about 11-11-11? Thinking about you today as I shoveled our driveway. Also how did you wooden shovel work? I would think it would be heavy to use. Lets hope for an early spring!

    • Oh right – 11-11-11! I didn’t think about that one. Maybe we can think of a triple !! way to celebrate it.

All we have had here is rain since the wooden snow shovel arrived. Maybe that’s how it works? Actually, it’s made of birch and doesn’t seem all that heavy. What worries me more is that it’s just a flat board, so snow don’t be scooped up. Trying it out is the only reason I can think of to hope for more snow, though, so I am being patient about getting a chance. From what I hear, hardly anybody over there is escaping a real downfall. Better than the floods in Australia, though, yes?.

Nonetheless, I will fervently join you in the hope for an early spring.
